However cleaning the exterior frame a couple times a year will help prevent discoloration and deterioration. The same mild soap and can be used to clean the exterior frame of your windows. A softer material should be used to wash the clean the windows, something like a microfiber cloth or soft bristle brush; afterwards rinse with water to avoid water spots.

Window screens should be handled very carefully as they can be fragile. They are easy to clean, just use mild soap and water as usual for the windows.

When cleaning your windows, try your best to do it on a cloudier day, if the soap is exposed to direct sunlight it may dry too quickly and leave a residue.
